Role and Responsibilities for the health, safety & environmental officer Job

  • Compile safety programs, Promote safety initiatives and Practice safe working techniques.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Identify hazardous waste in the environment and dispose of it accordingly.
  • Regularly inspect equipment.
  • Inspect workplace environments to verify compliance with federal laws, regulations and requirements.
  • Suspend activities or use dangerous materials until alternative solutions have been developed, tested and implemented.
  • Run audits on ventilation, noise protection, and lighting to ensure that all are functioning and working efficiently to create optimal employee safety.
  • Investigate accidents to identify root causes, eliminate existing dangers and develop solutions to reduce the risk of other accidents.
  • Maintain a database of hazardous present materials to guarantee safe handling during use and disposal.
  • Develop emergency preparedness plans for workers and create employee resources to direct workers in potentially dangerous situations.


Job Requirements for the safety, health and environmental Job.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
  • Valid competency certificates.
  • Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
